Samos Town:
Town square
Samos Town is the island’s capital and the main attraction
for foreign tourists who come to view its famous harbour. Another
point of interest is Pythagoras Square which is equally famous
for the large statue of a lion that symbolises the bravery of
the people of Samos. The town is built upon the slopes of the
islands deepest bay and is home to two major museums in the Archaeological
and Byzantine Museums.
